Sand, Sea & Sky is my latest photographic project of the shifting beauty of Scotland's western Isles. Rather than aiming for clarity or sharpness, I wanted to create movement to translate what I felt rather than what I saw. Each image becomes a visual memory, blurred, Fleeting and deeply tied to the place. The soft colours from streaks of light, the unique form of the Isles and the endless white sands and blue seas all reflect on the pure nature of the place. Travelling across Barra, South Uist, North Uist, Harris and Lewis with one goal of evoking a sense of presence. Standing on the sand, watching the waves roll in and feeling connected to the natural world around me.
